Flag Quiz
10 questions, 3 choices
About this test
A flag quiz (flag guessing game) shows a national flag and asks which country it belongs to. This test draws 10 random questions from 65 countries as 3-choice multiple choice.
Each question has 1 correct answer and 2 confusable distractors. One distractor comes from the same continent, so guessing by region alone isn't enough — and the scorecard reveals the right country for any you miss.
There are 193 UN member states and around 200 national flags in total. Flags differ by color, emblem, and ratio, and some look almost identical — Indonesia vs. Monaco, the Netherlands vs. Luxembourg, Chad vs. Romania. Grouping flags by continent and comparing look-alikes makes them far easier to remember.

FAQ
QHow many flags are there in the world?
There are 193 UN member states, or around 200 national flags including non-members and observers. This quiz uses 65 of the best-known countries.
QWhich flags are most confusing?
Indonesia vs. Monaco (red/white horizontal), the Netherlands vs. Luxembourg, and Chad vs. Romania (blue/yellow/red vertical) are classic look-alikes. Compare color order and ratio to tell them apart.
QDo flag colors and symbols have meaning?
Meanings vary by country, but red often stands for courage or blood of independence, green for nature or Islam, blue for freedom or the sea, and stars for unity or ideals.
QAny tips for memorizing flags?
Group them by continent and remember color combinations and emblems (stars, moons, crosses, animals). Pairing look-alike flags to compare differences helps too.
QSame questions every time?
No — 10 random pulls from a 65-country pool each game.
QHow are distractors chosen?
One from the same continent (trickier), one from a different continent.
